I currently live in Virginia Beach, but have lived in Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Suffolk, so I am familiar with Hampton Roads as a whole. As a teacher for six years, teaching everything from Special Education to Gifted Education; I know Hampton Roads school systems, the standards of learning, curriculum and academic as well as extracurricular programs offered in the public and private schools. A graduate from Virginia Wesleyan College with a certification in Elementary Education, I taught in the public schools for six years.
